David Marshall – Sculptural Candlesticks in Aluminum & Brass – Spain 1970s
A pair of distinctive and sculptural candlesticks designed by the Spanish designer David Marshall. The candlesticks feature an organic and almost fluid design language, where the silver-colored aluminum body is beautifully contrasted by warm brass details at both the top and base.
David Marshall is known for his handcrafted and sculptural designs, where the natural texture and slight irregularities of the materials become part of the expression. The slightly raw aluminum surfaces combined with the golden brass details give the candlesticks a distinctive vintage look that fits perfectly into both modern and classic interiors.
The candlesticks function not only as functional objects but also as small decorative sculptures. They are particularly well-suited for a sideboard, a bookshelf, or as part of a still life arrangement with ceramics, glass, or art books.
A beautiful vintage set with a clear 1970s aesthetic and lots of personality.
