Jørgen Bjulver "People by the Sea" Oil painting – 40x50 cm
“People by the Sea” is an evocative and poetic original work by the Danish modernist Jørgen Bjulver – where sea, light, and human figures merge in an almost dreamlike North Jutland landscape.
This original oil painting is executed in Bjulver’s characteristic, slightly cubist and modernist style, using subdued blue, grey, and earthy tones. The motif depicts a coastal landscape with a solitary building and two stylized figures, imbuing the work with a special sense of calm and contemplation. The brushwork is lively and richly textured with beautiful layers of oil, giving the painting depth and character.
The work is signed “JB” in the bottom right corner and comes with its original wooden frame. It also includes an original information folder and an art-critical text about the artist, which underscores the work's authenticity and collector's value.
Selected with a focus on timeless Scandinavian modernism, artistic presence, and the special balance of tranquility, patina, and narrative that characterizes Nitush DNA.

The motif clearly relates to Jørgen Bjulver's many depictions of North Jutland and Vendsyssel – areas that played a central role in his artistic universe. The minimalist landscape and stylized figures create an almost meditative atmosphere with clear references to Danish post-war modernism.
The accompanying information folder describes Bjulver as an independent and original artist with strong coloristic abilities and connections to both Danish and European modernism. The work appeals to both collectors of Danish art and to interiors where original art with character and history is prioritized.
