History & Context — read more ▾
For decades, brass has been used in interior design for its warm glow and exclusive look. Particularly in the 1960s and 70s, the material became popular in Scandinavian homes, where it was used in everything from candlesticks to serving pieces.
This tray draws on that tradition with its simple design language and decorative function – a classic example of how everyday objects can be elevated to aesthetic elements in interior design.

The designer is unknown, which is often the case with less mass-produced interior items from the mid-20th century.
The focus is instead on the material, proportions, and usability – qualities that make the object relevant in today's interior design.
