Italian ceiling/wall light with Murano glass flowers and gold leaf, 1980s
Italian ceiling lamp with Murano glass flowers and gold leaf – 1980s
An exceptionally decorative Italian ceiling lamp from the 1980s, made of wrought iron with gilded leaf ornaments and decorated with an abundance of hand-formed Murano glass flowers in delicate shades of light blue, pink, and clear glass.
The lamp's organic structure evokes the image of an opulent floral bouquet, with the golden leaves and delicate glass flowers spreading out from the central construction. The many flowers feature fine, ribbed details and are beautifully contrasted by the golden flower centers.
The gilded wrought iron gives the lamp an exclusive and sculptural expression, while the light transparency of the Murano glass adds a more refined and elegant touch. A characterful lamp that functions both as lighting and as a decorative art object in the room.
